96 Points (Gold Medal), 2025 Decanter Wine Awards

This is far from your typical Albariño. This is a serious, expressive wine that completely bursts from the glass with vibrant aromas of freshly sliced green apple, juicy white peach, and bright lemon zest. The palate offers a full, juicy core that perfectly balances that Atlantic salinity with beautiful stone fruits – exactly as it was intended to pair with the seafood-heavy local Galacian cuisine.

Being that Aquitania is still relatively young, these wines are still flying under-the-radar, but that anonymity won’t last long. When you’re crafting 96-point wines from 100-year-old vines in Cambados, the secret gets out fast!

Original price was: $25.00.Current price is: $20.95.

Emanating Atlantic Ocean zeal and drive; bursting with peach, pear, apricot and orange blossom perfume, with salivating acidity and a progressive mineral structure. Long and expressive.

This is an anomaly in the wine world – a 96-point absolutely incredible Albariño courtesy of Bodegas Aquitania, one of Spain’s fastest rising wineries.

This is our introduction to Aquitania, the dream project of businessman M. Aquin who returned to his roots in the heart of Rías Baixas to bring world-class Albariño to the biggest stages. What makes this project so special is the location – Aquin purchased parcels in the village of Cambados, largely considered the Cru region for Albariño, where 100-year-old vines sit cirtually on top of the Atlantic Ocean.
