Perhaps no brand is more shrouded in mystery than Sea Smoke. Their business model is truly unique. First, every single bottle is made from the estate’s holdings—no purchased fruit ever—even if demand far outstrips supply. The iconic Sea Smoke Vineyard has become a holy grail of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay lovers,  a truly world-class, Grand Cru site that helped put the Sta. Rita Hills region on the map.

No required allocations. They have a list that’s free to join and it’s always first come, first served. If you don’t want the wines, no worries, the person right behind you will. The demand never seems to end. Every year our allocation shrinks, but after a little negotiating, I’ve secured us one of the largest allocations in New Jersey to offer up to the Nicholas Wines faithful.. while it lasts!
