Chateau de Campuget Rose Tradition 2025

Oh man, do I love this Rose. It’s rare that I get excited about new pink wines, but this one, the first I’ve ever had from Campuget, is a dream. It opens with insanely intoxicating aromas of sweet fruit. The most inviting notes of candied fruit come flooding out of the bottle, followed by fresh strawberries, melon, sweet cherry and a Honey crisp apple that’s just been sliced. The mouth is far from simple yet so approachable and easy to drink, fresh, bright with wonderful pure fruit that dominate the pallet and a wonderful natural acidity that stays out of the way, but keeps everything perfectly together. Yes, this is an insanely food-friendly Rose (particularly with Pizza), but it’s also a complete show-stopper on its own. At this price, this should be in play all summer long.

Original price was: $18.00.Current price is: $13.95.

Chateau de Campuget is a gorgeous, sprawling estate and bed and breakfast in the Costieres de Nimes region of southern France. It dates back to the 1600s with vineyards, planted and for the last three generations have been operated by the Dalle family. The Dalles have poured their heart and soul into this beautiful estate ever since the patriarch, Bernard, got shot in the second war. While recovering, he decided to throw everything he had into becoming a winemaker and living a quiet life for his second act.

That adventure would turn into a full blown obsession, Campuget produces a robust lineup of A.O.C. Costières de Nîmes wines, primarily crafted from Syrah and Grenache grapes. While they make a number of really interesting and delicious wines, their best known, especially in the states for their crisp, refreshing, and aromatic rosés (like this beautiful Tradition Rosé)
