Jefferson’s Reserve Limited Edition Cask Strength Bourbon

Somehow, Jefferson’s seems to find that quality as consistently as any place I’ve tasted.

We’ve done over a dozen barrels with them now throughout the years, and each one has had to clear an incredibly high hurdle. And somehow, they never stop hitting ball out of the park.

Jefferson’s is best known for its Ocean whiskeys aged on ships sailing around the world, but this spring, they added their first cask-strength expression, an eight-year wonder that checks in at 130 Proof. It turned out to be a game-changer for Jefferson’s.

With so much depth and chocolatey flavor complemented by black pepper, caramel and creamy crème brûlée notes, somehow you almost miss the heat. Considering the alc %, that is an insane feat, but not surprising if you’ve been a Jefferson’s diehard as I’ve been over the years.
