Of course, if we’re going to do a Freaky Friday case we have to get ourselves a Napa Valley Cabernet edition and who better to include than our friends the Wagner and their homerun Quilt Cabernet. This time, I also managed to snag their flagship ‘Quilt Grace of the Land’ bottling which retails for $110/bottle. That’s pretty hard to beat. In the tricky 2017 vintage, the Reserve came away with a 96-point review, just to give you an idea of how the 2018 might turn out in a home run vintage. This is also our first shot at the new 2022 Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine already attached to a big 94-point score from the Tasting Panel who called the Napa Cabernet “structured like a skyscraper”. Unmatched value with this one for the Napa Cab lovers.
