Zorzal Garnacha Malayeto 2024

This is not the first time I’ve featured a wine from Viña Zorzal and there’s no shot it’s my last either. The Wine Advocate called them “one of the most dynamic projects in Navarra” but that doesn’t even begin to cover it. The value of these wines is insane. This was when they were making 92-point, under $15/bottles of Garnacha. But a $20 Garnacha with a 97-point review and a rave 94-point review from Parker’s Wine Advocate?! That just doesn’t happen.

The 2021 Zorzal Garnacha Malayeto is an absolute must-have for any wine enthusiast looking to explore the epitome of terroir-driven excellence. Sourced from the ancient, 40-year-old vines nestled at the base of the mountains in Fitero, Navarra, this Garnacha showcases the unique character of its rocky, limestone-rich soils. Master of Wine and critic, Tim Atkin wine, awarded it an uber-rare 96 points, praising its elegant and precise structure that doesn’t compromise on intensity.
