Boss Hog XII: Feather & Flame is the world’s first rye whiskey finished in Pulque Curado de Cacao barrels – barrels seasoned with agave-fermented pulque and cured with cacao and Mexican chili peppers, inspired by Xocolatl, the sacred Aztec chili chocolate drink.

This is among WhistlePig’s oldest and most potent rye whiskeys (104.8-108.4 proof), and opens up beautiful with caramel, dark chocolate, and orange zest on the nose, followed by bright citrus balanced with soft oak and cocoa on the palate, finishing with savory cacao that gives way to herbaceous chili pepper. Each bottle is crowned with a collectible Vermont handmade pewter topper depicting a feathered pig deity wielding Aztec chilis and a traditional chocolate whisk, with NFC technology on the back label for collector registration and authentication.
