Vina Robles Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Vina Robles is a pretty special winery– founded in the early 1990’s by Swiss businessman Hans Nef for the purpose of combining his Old World wine vision with the exciting possibilities that New World wine brings.

In building his winery, Vina Robles, he spared no expense, amassing six estate vineyards throughout Paso Robles that serve as the foundation for the red-wine dominant winery. It’s not just grape growing that is part of the winery’s vision. A big part of what they do is farming, growing and planting trees.

Paso Robles in the 1990’s might have seemed like a risky play- but as we’ve all seen time and time again, the winemakers who take the biggest risks usually reap the biggest rewards. Vina Robles is the perfect example. This is a 94-point Cabernet stunner from them; this one has mass appeal.

Original price was: $26.00.Current price is: $21.00.

94 Points, Wine Enthusiast
This is a rich and thoroughly satisfying Cab, starting with aromas of roasted boysenberry, cocoa, violet and toasty oak on the nose. The palate is cohesive and neatly woven, with rich black fruit, mocha and espresso flavors that are wrapped in firm but balanced tannins

94 Points, Wine Enthusiast

This is a Halley’s comet type of offer. A 94-point Cabernet Sauvignon find courtesy of Vina Robles, one of the big players out of Paso Robles for a terrific price. I expect this to be in the Top 100 list at the end of the year. This Cabernet is lip-smacking berried up Cabernet with jammy red and dark fruits and hints of cocoa. It’s robust and full-bodied offering layers of fruit and tannic structure. This is drinking great now and I’d argue it will continue to be killer for another 10-15 years.
