This is the incredible story of Julie Johnson, one of the founding partners of Frog’s Leap in Napa, who was ousted by her husband after their divorce and decided to take matters into her own hands. She locked into this incredible little boutique gem in the Rutherford Bench, tucked up against the steep Mayacamas mountain range, and created something truly special.
At the valley’s westernmost edge, where sloping vineyards meet wooded hillsides, Tres Sabores is a portal to the Napa Valley of old —no fancy tasting room, no snobbery, just great wine in a spectacular setting. This woman-owned and operated boutique makes approx. 3,000 cases each year across its entire portfolio of wines. Their Cabernet sells for $125, Zinfandels for $55, but we managed to get this crazy delicious 2022 “Por Que No” blend for a far more affordable price!
