96 Points, Vinous
Nicola and Stefania Oberto may very well put Berri on the map with their 2020 Barolo Berri. What a wine. Deep, soaring and wonderfully expressive, the 2020 is stunning in its beauty. Dark red/purplish fruit, orange peel, cinnamon, rose petal and lavender are all amplified in a vertical, soaring Barolo of magnificent intensity. Silky, polished tannins round things out in style. The 2020 is pure and sensual to the core – a total pleasure bomb.
Trediberri Barolo Berri 2020
Trediberri is a relatively young yet super highly respected winery in Piedmont, Italy. The estate has quickly gained a reputation for producing exceptional wines that showcase the region’s unique terroir.
Established in 2007 by Federico Oberto, his father Nicola, and their friend Vladimiro Rambaldi, Trediberri is situated in the famed Barolo region, specifically in the hamlet of Berri in La Morra. With a focus on sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking techniques, Trediberri aims to create wines that are authentic expressions of the Nebbiolo grape and the prestigious Barolo appellation.
Trediberri’s vineyards span approximately 10 hectares, including prized plots in the renowned Rocche dell’Annunziata cru, known for producing some of the most elegant and complex Barolo wines. The winery’s approach is one of minimal intervention, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes and the terroir to shine through in the final product.
This philosophy, combined with meticulous care in both the vineyard and the cellar, has resulted in wines that are celebrated for their purity, balance, and depth. Trediberri’s Barolo offerings, in particular, have garnered significant acclaim from wine critics and enthusiasts, solidifying the winery’s status as a rising star in the world-famous and super crowded Piedmont region.
