Juicy cherry and pomegranate aromas dominate the nose of this Pinot, while the palate sings with darker black cherry, Darjeeling, cinnamon and licorice flavors. Neatly balanced tannin and acidity dance for a minute-plus on the finish, with echoes of balsamic, cedar and rose petals.
Three Sticks is a super hot winery right now located in the heart of Sonoma. They have built a reputation, especially over the past decade, for making super elegant and sophisticated wines that can be aged for decades.
The winery was founded by Bill Price III (the “three sticks” nickname comes from his “III” suffix) who was previously known for his acquisition and revitalization of Kistler Vineyards and other premium California wine properties.
Gap’s Crown sits on the western slopes of Sonoma Mountain in the Petaluma Gap, where relentless winds and dense Pacific fog create some of the most challenging growing conditions in California.
