93 Points, Vinous – 93 Points, James Suckling

“The 2025 Etna Rosato is so impressive, mixing crushed peaches with chamomile, citrusy spices and spearmint. Luxuriously round and supple, it has brisk acidity to balance as decadently ripe orchard fruits are neatly offset by a crunch of minerality toward the close. It finishes long with a saline inflection. The 2025 is deeply complex and well balanced for the cellar.” -Antonio Galloni

Cantaloupe and ripe peaches with some grapefruit undertones and hints of pink roses follow through to a medium body with creamy texture and a flavorful finish. Bright and energetic throughout. Drink now.

“Proprietor Marc de Grazia is one of the pioneers of the Etna. Not only was he among the first producers to recognize the value of these once-forgotten, ancient terroirs, he also was the first producer to bring attention to the specific qualities of these vineyards by bottling single-parcel Nerellos that have become reference-point wines for the Etna.” – The Wine Advocate

“Terre Nere’s wines all possessed unbelievable freshness and complexity as well as huge perfumes that suggested Pinot Noir…These wines are astonishingly complex and ethereal efforts from the hillsides of Mt. Etna in Sicily.” – Robert Parker, Jr.

Terre Nere boasts 43 hectares of vineyards, including some of the highest-altitude red grape vineyards in Europe. Their vineyards are divided into three crus: Calderara, Guardiola, and Feudo di Mezzo, each with unique terroir and age.

The volcanic soils of the vineyards, characterized by ash, pumice, and rock, contribute to the distinctive character of the wines imparting an incredible elegance to the final result. The extreme weather conditions, influenced by altitude and exposure, further shape the grapes and ultimately the wines.
