Most people don’t know BenMarco is a Susana Balbo project – and that’s exactly how they want it. Argentina’s first female winemaker, the woman who has been quietly shaping Argentine wine for nearly four decades, lets her work do the talking. She tasked Edy Del Popolo, one of the country’s most respected viticulturists, to make Cabernet for her, and together they churn out elegance instead of over-extracted, over-the-top bottlings intended for the wow-factor crowd.
