RouteStock Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2019

RouteStock creates wines from classic grape varieties grown along well-known routes in the world’s most respected wine regions. Tried, trusted and true to their routes, these wines are handcrafted by our winemakers to be approachable and a reliable favorite.

Started by wine insiders, RouteStock has access to some of the best regions in California, whether it be in Napa Valley and Carneros for their Cabernet and Chardonnay and several Sonoma Coast sites for their Pinot Noir. It’s the kind of project that can only be started with decades long relationships forged, partnerships and years of trust.

Sourcing the best fruit possible and then letting that wine speak is the how they saw their 2017 Pinot Noir end up in the Wine Spectator and have seen consecutive years with 91+ scores with the magazine. The 2019 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is lights out Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, that’s delicately balanced and super pure. The fruit is fantastic and shines through from start to finish with finely woven tannins and a full mouthfeel. This is terrific stuff and my price is unbeatable.

Original price was: $25.00.Current price is: $18.95.

If you were told a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir made it into the ‘Top 100 Wines of the Year’ from Wine Spectator, then you’d probably assume the wine came from Mark Aubert, Steve Kistler, Larry Hyde or Dave Ramey. In just about every year you’d probably be right, but in 2019– that honor went to little known ‘Routestock’ for their 2017 Pinot Noir. Their newly released 2019 edition is fantastic and is likely to continue the trend of high-flying scores. It’s extremely aromatic and flaunts explosive cherry, blueberry and licorice notes with a slight hint of herbs de Provence and baking spice on the finish.
