Giovanni Davaz is the owner and winemaker of Poggio al Sole. This picturesque estate lies in the commune of Tavernelle Val di Pesa, in the heart of Chianti Classico. Organic farming and low yields create wines with incredible power; dark, brooding colors, intense extraction of fruit and ripe tannins.

But up Giovanni’s sleeve is something new and exciting that has started to amazingly develop a cult-like following in Tuscany, especially in the winemaking community.

This wine looks exactly like water. Completely clear, almost entirely colorless. Then you taste it and your brain breaks – it’s absolutely packed with juicy Sangiovese flavors that shouldn’t exist in something this transparent.
