The 2020 Santa Barbara from Ojai is another gorgeous Pinot Noir from the winemaking genius, Adam Tolmach. It leads with aromas of raspberry, cassis, currant leaf and lilac. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, fine-boned and savory with velvety tannins, a crunchy core of fruit and a long, sapid finish. If you haven’t had an Ojai Pinot Noir, this is a great place to start.
Ojai Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir 2020
Ojai is one of my absolute favorites and the same goes for the Nicholas Wines collective. For years, the reds and whites made here are every bit worth the price of admission. The winery is led by superstar winemaker Adam Tolmach, who has consistently proven himself to be one of most innovative winemakers in all of California. For decades, Tolmach’s scientific approach and experimentation-driven winemaking style has led to some incredible discoveries and some even better wine!
