Montesco ‘Agua de Roca’ Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Montesco is the label from the mastermind, Mathias Michelini for the wines he makes from grapes grown high up in vineyards in Tunuyan and Tupungato. These are some of the highest altitude vineyards he sources from, some very old, and subject to extremely cold weather in Argentina. But that is where Mathias and his wines thrive.

The ‘Agua de Roca’ or ‘Rock water’ couldn’t be a more apt name for this wine, as it was made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on the mountains of Tunuyan, right under the Andes.  Matias selects the grapes for this wine from plant to plant in those high-altitude vineyards, and makes the wine partially in steel and partially in concrete eggs. This one has it all!
