Macallan ‘A Night on Earth’ Limited Release 2023

The Macallan decided on a special q4 limited release in celebration of Scotland’s world-famous Hogmanay festivities that are celebrated on New Years Eve each year. ‘A Night on Earth’ in Scotland celebrates the change of the new year. This release is a collaboration with illustrator Erica Dorn, whose works has been featured in Wes Anderson’s films.

As with everything The Macallan does, they don’t do anything just to do it – it has to be excellent. This single malt shows amazing character. From a selection of American and European oak sherry seasoned casks, as well as American ex-bourbon barrels, this one is shaped by a rich, sweet-fruited core that also lends notes of dried fruit, cinnamon and some allspice.

This lovely bottling checks in at 86 Proof (43% alc.). I only have a pair of bottles from this rare release to offer up.
