Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a sensational value that is almost silly at this price point. It has much more of a $50-75/bottle pedigree, but it speaks to just how good of an estate this is.This wine has super fresh, lively red-fruit aromas on the nose, and the cleanest fruit on the mouth. It’s elegant with ripe fruit and some great structure and balance. A home run of a Pinot in this range.
Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2021
“Faiveley’s wines are… supremely clean and elegant: definitive examples of Pinot Noir… above all they have richness and breed, the thumbprint of a master winemaker.”
-Clive Coates, Master of Wine
The Faiveleys have been staples in Burgundy for a few generations now, and the quality has remained outstanding pretty much the entire time.
Founded back in 1825, Bourgognes Faiveley has been handed down from father to son for almost 200 years now. As the sixth generation to take the reins, François Faiveley manages the estate flawlessly which is a considerable feat considering it’s actually the largest family domaine in all of Burgundy. Bourgognes Faiveley today owns more appellations in their entirety (monopoles) than any other domaine in Burgundy. No wonder their Pinot Noir is so dang special.
