In what could be considered the ultimate Mother’s Day wine, Robert Mondavi, Jr. started making a couple of cases of Rosé every year for his mother, Isabel. Then, his mom asked for some Chardonnay and then some Pinot Noir…
Fast forward a few years and now Isabel has her own line of Mondavi wines: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Rosé from one of the best wine sub-regions in the world. The wine is delicious. Aromatically inviting with notes of jasmine, and ripe melon with tropical, crisp notes of white peach, apple and honeysuckle.

What started as a son’s yearly gift for his mother has turned into its own brand for Isabel Mondavi under the Michael Mondavi label. Isabel, Michael’s wife and the mother of winemaker Robert Mondavi, Jr. requested a Rosé of Cabernet from their prized Carneros vineyard with wild aromatics and beautiful, crisp fruit.
