There’s something almost criminal about buying a wine made by Riccardo Cotarella for anywhere near this pricepoint but I guess we’re not going to complain. This comes from the man Robert Parker Jr. called “one of the most influential personalities in the wine world”. We’re talking the man responsible for some of the most expensive and collector-worthy bottles in all of Italy, not someone who usually traffics in everyday pricing, yet here we are.
Cotarella has spent decades earning his reputation as “il mago” (the wizard) – Gambero Rosso’s Winemaker of the Year, the consultant behind some of Italy’s most celebrated bottles. His touch turns good vineyards into great wines, which is exactly why this Vitiano Bianco shouldn’t exist at this price point.
