Double Canyon Cabernet Sauvignon Horse Heaven Hills 2022

Drawn off estate Horse Heaven Hills vineyards – situated just six miles from the Columbia River, the vines are planted at incredible density (about twice the norm in the state) resulting in a natural reduction in vigor and therefore a concentration of flavor. This cuvee comes from two very special vineyards within the appellation.

The 2022 Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet from Double Canyon is showing beautifully already even in its youth. There’s a lot of structure and depth to the wine that sets up well as it starts to hit its prime. It leads with notes of raspberry, cranberry, cocoa and blackberry pie, with a rich palate of velvety tannins and the lip-smacking acidity so often associated with the better wines of the region.
