Domaine Alphonse Dolly Sancerre ‘Cuvee Silex’ 2025

The Cuvée Silex wines are extremely small production special cuvées made exclusively from flint soils in the Sancerre appellation. Because production is so dang tiny, they’ve never even submitted for scores. And honestly? If they did, we’d probably never sniff a single bottle. This is the kind of wine that restaurants hoard and your average wine buyer has no idea even exists.

This Sauvignon Blanc a total showstopper. It’s so dang electric — it’s hard to put it down. It’s fresh and tightly wound with citrus and stone fruit with lovely floral elements and a pronounced layer of minerality that comes straight from the flint. The mineral streak is the game changer. As soon as it hits you, it waters your mouth.
