Aljoscha Goldschimdt is the owner and winemaker of Corzano e Paterno. This picturesque estate lies in the commune of San Pancrazio, just outside of Florence. Joshi is a farmer first; his 14 hectare of pristine vineyards are organically tended and are cropped at a low yield. Corzano e Paterno is an organic farm in northern Chianti, making cheese from the milk of 800 Sardinian sheep on one side of the property and making mostly Chianti on the other. The white wine is a rarity with only 800 cases produced.
The Il Corzanello Bianco is a blend of six varieties, each variety adding it’s own special character to this aromatic, zippy Tuscan white. It’s intensely fruit yet fresh and mineral with a long finish. This “Chianti Bianco” in 2019 is super, absolutely perfect with just about anything outdoors!

The 2018 is jump-out-of-the-glass aromatic, with peachy-juicy fruit and zippy acidity that makes it both the best of apertifs and incredibly versatile at the table.
Perfect outside on the deck or by the pool, it’s great with cheese and dried meats as well as appetizers and salads.
98 Points, James Suckling
The wine is absolutely gorgeous – more than worthy of the lofty 98-point score it received from James Suckling. The review called the wine, “Energetic and bright with tightness and structure” all of which I find accurate, but it’s also the pristine and weighty fruit with the signature Hyde Vineyard smoky-graphite tones that make this wine so unique.
The newly released 2021 Frenzy Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a fabulous value white wine, loaded with green apples, pears and white peaches plus a hint of spice. It’s juicy and fresh, the perfect cocktail hour white. It’s what is referred to as the perfect ‘pool wine’. It’s great paired with just about anything or just enjoyed on its own.
Nicholas #2 Wine of the Year, 2021
The 2020 Clos Julien Chard is a quintessential example of California coastal Chardonnay, zippy-fresh and long on the palate. This one comes bristling with energy right out of the gates. It’s a flawlessly crafted single-vineyard Chardonnay– as bright and refreshing as you could want, it hits with clean, pristine green apple fruits, pears and citrus notes with great minerality and a lingering, bright finish. It’s a fantastic wine year round and goes well with so many things in the kitchen.
This is another absolute gem from Sancerre that comes from the limestone and silex soils that make some of the best expressions of Sauvignon Blanc in the region. This has a wonderful chalky mineral streak that meshes perfectly with a lemon lime zest and stone fruits, with a little flint/steely expression. Philippe Raimbault is a very serious 9th generation winemaker. This one is absolutely worth checking out.
