The Vic family are fifth generation wine growers in Southern France and they are truly lucky folks. That’s because they get to work on a very special property with roots that date back to the 12th century and terroir that boasts the most incredible rocky volcanic soils.
This wine comes from rolling hills right near the villas of Vias on the Mediterranean coast. All the vines are 25+ years old and the wines are fermented and aged in stainless steel – helping create soft concentrated fruit and tannin with a good amount of natural acidity and a lush, full-bodied mouthfeel. The low-yield vines here are an integral part of why this works so perfectly. You get highly concentrated, clean fruit that doesn’t have to be artificially pumped up in any – it’s completely revved up with energy.
