Year in, year out the Entre-Deux Mers is one of the best white wines for the price in the world. It’s no wonder it has appeared all over Michelin-starred wine lists in Paris for years.
The Château Turcaud Entre-Deux-Mers Blanc is 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 45% Sémillon and 5% Muscadelle with intense aromas of citrus fruits, lychee, lime, and floral notes. It has a fruity liveliness and a surprisingly long and refreshing finish. A perfect wine to be enjoyed all year long. At $14, you’ll want to grab all the bottles you can!
This is an absolute classic.
Available by the glass at Restaurant Nicholas since day 1 because it is aromatic, crisp and clean, making it one of the most versatile wines I’ve ever tasted.

This wine is best enjoyed within two years of the vintage, well-chilled as an aperitif, with all sorts of seafood, or with goat’s milk, ewe’s milk, and hard cheeses.

This one is a beauty. A great mix of baked apple, mango and papaya with honeysuckle and vanilla. For a top-notch First Growth Sauternes with 95 points – perfectly cellared and stored for 15 years – price tag seems almost nonsensical. $33/375ml or $29.70/bottle when added to case orders. Who’s ready to drink their desert this Thanksgiving?
The 2019 La Croix Poignant’ is a single-vineyard selection of older vines – 25 years all the way up to 70 years of age, with the older vines imparting a lot of character and depth. Aromas feature freshly twisted lemon peel, stone and a light salinity all giving way to bright white fruits and citrus on the palate. An absolute joy and probably the last Sancerre we’ll see this year at anywhere near the price!
The newly released Riesling Feinherb 2018 is a lively, juicy wine with an elegant bouquet of minerals, wet stone and ripe fruit. On the palate, the wine’s slight off-dry component is beautifully balanced by the steely acidity typical of the Mosel. Because this is freshly released, the fruit is vibrant and succulent and it comes in somewhere between off-dry and semi-sweet. It’s a great example of Riesling, especially at the price.
From Soave Classico’s most privileged volcanic-limestone hillsides, this is a high-tone northern Italian white bursting with white flowers, honeysuckle and stone fruits. Crisp and clean, finishing juicy and surprisingly long. A perfect complement to all kinds of seafood dishes, summer vegetables, poultry and light cheeses. There is no old-vine, small lot Pinot Grigio that exists for anywhere near the price of this one.
