Chateau Roque Le Mayne Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux 2018

Categories , ,

Jean-Francois Meynard naturally farms 15 hectares of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec vines on the classic argilo-calcaire soil of the Cotes de Castillon. The minerality in the soil perfectly balances the incredible concentration of fruit Meynard coaxes from his vines.

He’s been flying under the radar in the read hot Côtes-de-Bordeaux region for far too long, making exceptional blends with purity, grace and agebillity. Wine Enthusiast just last week called the wines, “some of the region’s most exciting and accessible wines”.  At today’s price, that is surely the case.

The Roque le Mayne Côtes-de-Bordeaux 2018 is rich and elegant. Vibrant and youthful, it displays fresh notes of red and blueberries, with a refreshing minerality and a touch of earth. It’s a classic Right-Bank style blend that can be enjoyed with pretty much anything on a table and has enough depth and body to be sipped on slowly in a big old Bordeaux glass by itself.

Original price was: $25.00.Current price is: $20.50.
