Nestled in the picturesque Saint Germain Esteuil, just north of Saint-Estephe in the Northern Medoc, lies the esteemed Château Livran – a true testament to the rich history and exceptional winemaking of the Medoc region. With roots dating back to 1280(!), this historic estate has seen centuries of evolution, from its origins under the reign of Pope Clement V to its role as a symbol of resistance during the Second World War.

In 2013, Olivier Michon and Edwige Lurton-Michon, daughter of renowned winemaker Lucien Lurton, embarked on a new chapter in Château Livran’s storied history. Inspired by their passion for wine and driven by a commitment to innovation and tradition, they set out to revive this beautiful estate to its former glory. Holy cow, did they do a good job and FAST!
