This is an absolutely insanely good Left Bank Bordeaux that would be a screaming value at $50/btl let alone today’s price. Jeb Dunnuck waxed poetic writing, “Seemingly always terrific, the 2020 Chateau Lilian Ladouys shows the class of the vintage.” Wine Enthusiast gave it a 95-point score and labeled it a ‘Cellar Selection’ while Decanter came in with a 93-point score calling this “one of the clear leaders of the new Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel category.” Lastly, Antonio Galloni weighed in with a 93-point score of his own for a wine he dubbed “just gorgeous.”

The finish closes in sharply, but this is an enjoyable wine from the Lorenzetti-owned Lilian Ladouys (and for me one of the clear leaders of the new Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel category)
