Ceretto Santo Stefano Moscato d’Asti 2024

93 Points, Wine Enthusiast

Wine Enthusiast gave it 93 points and couldn’t be effusive enough in their praise. They wrote of “Electric citrus notes dancing with pristine stone fruits while jasmine and acacia float above. The palate hums with energy—each element precisely placed yet flowing with natural grace. This is winemaking operating at the highest level.”

At just 5.5% alcohol, this isn’t just sweet wine – it’s an entire masterclass in aromatic complexity and structural balance. The light sparkle is incredibly fine and creamy, with sweetness perfectly countered by bright, zesty acidity that leaves the palate clean rather than coated in sugar.

Original price was: $24.00.Current price is: $19.00.

Ceretto is widely considered one of the most visionary and influential estates in all of Piedmont. While their story began in the 1930s, the winery’s “elite” status didn’t come until the 1960s led by brothers Bruno and Marcello Ceretto, who were among the first to realize that the true greatness of Barolo and Barbaresco lay in specific, high-altitude vineyard sites—the “crus.”

Today, Ceretto is one of the region’s largest landholders, possessing an enviable portfolio of prestigious vineyards. They are celebrated for their minimalist, non-invasive winemaking and their commitment to blending high-end viticulture with contemporary art and architecture.

Ceretto’s Moscato d’Asti, specifically the “I Vignaioli di S. Stefano” bottling, is widely regarded as the gold standard for the region. While many producers treat Moscato as a simple, mass-market commodity, Ceretto treats it with the same artisanal precision as their top Barolos.
