Winemaker and Cadre Founder, John Niven likens his electric Sauvignon Blanc as having the ‘Pop Rock’ effect, for those of you who remember the children’s candy. It hits with you an explosive wave of freshness while still managing to hold on to its complexity. Salty citrus fruit leads, followed by earthy green herbal notes rounded out by melon and white peach, all framed by mouthwatering minerality. You can taste five decades of these old vines coexisting with the nearby Pacific Ocean.

Wine Enthusiast gave it 93 points, calling it “..an extreme expression of Sauvignon Blanc, reminiscent of versions from cool areas around the world.” They pointed to unusual flavors like Yuzu, lime juice and pear skin in this Sauvy B which just tells you that what you have here is quite the rare gem in San Luis Obispo.
