Luna Beberide has been one of Bierzo’s most exciting estates for years, but since Alejandro Luna took control in 2016, something magical has happened. He deliberately scaled production from over 600,000 bottles down to under 140,000 – a crazy bold decision that tells you everything about where his priorities lie. More land, fewer bottles, but tons more personality and depth. Lucky for him, the results speak for themselves.
Robert Parker’s top Spanish critic, Luis Gutiérrez, noted “a jump in precision, elegance and definition” across the entire lineup, calling the wines more aromatic, more floral and more expressive of what Bierzo is truly capable of.
