Dark Roast: Deep, bold, and seriously rich, our Dark Roast is crafted for those who love their coffee with both intensity and finesse. We source exceptional Arabica beans from Colombia’s Cauca region and Brazil’s Cerrado – two areas known for producing some of the world’s finest coffee.

The result here is a full-bodied, vibrant blend that delivers waves of chocolate-covered fruit and dark caramel, backed by toasted nuts and a hint of refined smokiness. The darker roast brings out the natural sweetness of these beans while coaxing out their rich oils – you can actually see it in their glossy sheen.

From the minute I dove head-first into the food and beverage industry, sourcing the finest ingredients possible has always been one of my greatest obsessions. If you want to make the best food, the best wine, the best whatever – you better believe you need the right ingredients.

When I started Nicholas Wines and traveled around the world, I quickly found that the most beautiful wines came from the best growers and the best vineyards and those typically ended up being small rural farmers, meticulous growers that have been passing down wisdom and family secrets for generations.

You better believe the same is true in coffee. I’ve always been on the hunt for my own beans and my own blend, but I needed the right time. But when one of our best members at Nicholas Wines recently reached out about an opportunity, I knew that time was now. After a few weeks tasting dozens and dozens of samples, having tested every bean, blend and roast combination, I finally have the ball rolling.

We already have our Medium Roast, but I heard from a few of my big coffee people that we needed a darker roast too. Luckily, it was already in the works. This blend ended up coming from a combination of Brazil  and the famed Cauca region in Colombia. We’re talking high-end Arabica beans with an explosion of flavor.

This is perfect for your morning cup, French press, or an intense espresso with real character. We roast in small batches right here in Red Bank to ensure every bag hits that sweet spot between bold and balanced.
