Justin Sauvignon Blanc Central Coast 2023

91 Points, Wine Spectator – 91 Points, James Suckling

This is a super crisp, refreshing and clean white wine that leads with Granny Smith notes along with citrus, mango puree, and more tropical flavors. It’s packed with bright lemon and slight green herb flavors, and finishes lively with a stony kick. Think of it as the ultimate patio sipper or a perfect partner for fresh seafood. A beautiful California white wine value.

91 Points, James Suckling
A fresh and herbaceous style of sauvignon with aromas of blueberries, gooseberries and cut grass. The palate is medium-bodied with focused acidity, a generous texture and notes of white nectarines, preserved lemons and orange sherbet.

91 Points, Wine Spectator
Sleek and elegant, with plenty of power to the lemon curd, mango puree and fresh pineapple notes. Details of lemon verbena, ginger and orange blossoms add charm and aromatics on the finish.

Located in the beautiful rolling hills of Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast, Justin Vineyards & Winery was founded in 1981 by Justin Baldwin with a focus of creating red and white Bordeaux-style blends. Over the years, they have become known for their pioneering role in establishing Central Coast as a real player in the California wine scene.

Over the last decade plus, the quality of this estate has gotten increasingly good, no doubt a byproduct of the winemaking direction of former Opus One winemaker Scott Shirley. What better place to earn a Bordeaux varietal education than at Opus, and Scott Shirley has taken all the expertise he has gained over his time there and the Hess Family Collection, and used it to make Justin a world-class player.
