But here’s what makes it special: Cappiello sources exclusively from three organically farmed vineyards: Royal T, Mohr-Fry, and Shergill. No synthetic pesticides, no herbicides, just pure organic farming the way it was meant to be done.
He uses carbonic maceration to create wines that are absolutely ripping with energy while maintaining the purity of the fruit. Wine Enthusiast called it “deep, opulent” and came in at 94 points – that’s a huge score for a wine at this price. This wine is deep, opulent, with aromas of blackberry jam, blueberry pie, cinnamon, orange peel, toasted vanilla cream, and notes of violet on the nose. The flavors on the palate are juicy boysenberry coulis, huckleberry, orange cream, maple, clove, and a dry supple, silky finish. Decant and Enjoy. Pair with Lamb Shank.
