Chad Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2024

This comes from a major player in Russian River Pinot Noir with bottlings anywhere from $50 to $110/btl depending on the plots. I’m talking the very same vineyards that Kistler, Kosta Browne, and DuMOL use for their single-vineyard Pinot Noir bottlings. Morning fog from the coast keeps the vineyard cool, extending hang time and creating dramatic day-to-night temperature swings that build serious complexity.

Chad has worked his magic, creating a Pinot that perfectly captures that exceptional quality of the site – juicy and absolutely packed with bright red berry fruits. It’s way too easy to drink and flashes a little more nuance than you’d expect with each sip. The acidity is perfectly balanced; it will pair wonderfully with food, but it’s oh so drinkable on its own. It’s a crowd pleaser.. for any crowd.

Original price was: $45.00.Current price is: $21.00.

The wine is very fine aromatically, with a high-toned, black cherry nose kissed with just a touch of spice. The fruit is absolutely pure Pinot, bright and vibrant. For the price, it’s absolutely killer Pinot.

My winemaking friend Chad is the absolute best.

Even though I know exactly how talented he is and the quality of each sample he sends me, this last one was different. He’s just locked into some really special vineyard sites and he’s making the best wine he has ever made.

Most of it is cloaked in secrecy, but here’s what I can tell you: This comes from a major player in Russian River Pinot Noir with bottlings anywhere from $50 to $110 depending on the vineyard sources. We’re talking the very same vineyards that Kistler, Kosta Browne, and DuMOL use for their single-vineyard Pinot Noir bottlings. This is a producer I don’t think twice about paying full retail for. Morning fog from the coast keeps the vineyard cool, extending hang time and creating dramatic day-to-night temperature swings that build serious complexity.
