Ridge is a constant critical darling that has been on the top of just about every list you can imagine for well over 50 years. Maybe they are most well known for winning the second enactment of the Tasting of Paris where their Monte Bello not only edged out the Napa Elite but also topped Mouton, Montrose, & Haut-Brion.

With Ridge it’s all about the raw ingredients and there may be no winery in all the world that understands each and every parcel so well. They are true stewards of the land and pioneers of American winemaking, being one of the first and most thorough when it comes to organic and being known as one of if not the best producers of Zinfandel anywhere.

This is only one wine that the Ridge team meticulously selects from multiple vineyards as they have since its inception in 2001. This year, they’ve selected 10 vineyard sites. This is a racy Zinfandel dominant blend that checks in at 65% Zinfandel, 26% Petite Sirah, 5% Syrah and 4% Alicante Bouschet. Think of it as California’s answer to CDP.
