Here are a few of Nicholas’ favorite bubbles picks packaged together, wrapped up and ready to go under the tree. If there’s one thing for sure it’s everyone loves some great sparkling wines. The best part is these three each are so uniquely different. One is a Champagne from one of the most well-known and respected producers in the region, one crisp highly rated Italian bubbles and one, a Cremant that is a constant on Michelin restaurant wine lists as the ringer you think is Champagne, but really is the amazing Barmes family and their Cremant d’Aslace at a far more attractive price point.

This champagne is so good, it’s often a staple on the wine lists of Michelin two and three star restaurants. It offers elegant aromatics, pristine fruit and the crisp, mineral finish that screams for food. We loved it so much, we asked Jacques Diebolt to bottle a special cuveé for the restaurant– and he happily agreed, but unfortunately it sold out like hot cakes. No matter, here is old faithful. Just as delicious and memorable as I remember it.
Every year, Pierre Sparr’s Alsacian Riesling is one of the top scoring wines in the under $20 category. There’s a consistency there and consumers know they can count on a Riesling that is aromatic, fruity, elegant, clean and vibrant. Pierre Sparr wines are extremely food-friendly especially in the widely praised 2021 vintage where quality rose to an all-time high. It’s a bone-dry beauty with layers of citrus fruits, framed by wet stone and mineral character that adds dimension.
Every month, Nicholas Wines will ship two wines hand-selected by Nicholas Harary. Discover a new region, variety, or style! This is the perfect gift for both introductory and expert wine lovers!
This is Joe Wagner and Quilt’s inaugural Red blend called Threadcount. It is a total knockout at the price point for this style of wine. It’s a big voluptuous wine and very fruit forward. The nose is straight up dark chocolate dipped raspberries and it tastes of fresh-baked blueberry pie, spice, and a touch of toffee. It’s the kind of quality blend that you’ve come to expect from the family behind Caymus.
