Dom Perignon Champagne Vintage 2000
One of the most famous bottles in the world and one synonymous for excellence. For my money, I don’t think there’s a better bottle of Champagne year in, year out than Dom.
Dom Pérignon was an administrator of the Abbaye d’Hautvillers in 1668. For nearly 50 years, he dedicated himself to creating “the best wine in the world. ” Dom Pérignon’s creative ambition is a constant quest for harmony as a source of emotion. Today, his legacy lives on as Dom Pérignon remains one of the most famous, luxurious names in all of wine.
2000 was once again a classic vintage of Dom and I see this bottle going for way more money on other sites. That’s okay with me, this is somehow a steal at this price. This is an outstanding bottling and one that Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate penned “in this vintage, the wine fully merits its lofty reputation”
