19 May Chicken Cheesesteak Recipe
It was like an episode of Chopped, no plan, 20 minutes to the school bus arrives and all I wanted was to still be in bed. I had raw chicken cutlets, hoagie rolls and American Cheese. Wham! 7 minutes and 30 seconds later the kids got chicken cheesesteaks. Now it seems like twice a week the kids are waking me up and challenging me to a cook-off.
Here is the recipe:
- 3 oz finely chopped raw chicken breast (be careful if you are still sleepy)
- 3 slices American cheese
- 1 sub roll
- 1 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tsp Olive oil
- S & P to taste
- Saute Chicken in olive oil in a nonstick pan, Season as cooking
- Just before the chicken is completely cooked add water & cover with cheese.
(The steam will melt the cheese)
- Scoop into sub roll & wrap in aluminum foil.
Carl Roy Stag’s Leap District Cabernet Blend 2018
The 2018 Carl Roy Stag’s Leap District is a wine that was never supposed to be poured anywhere but the finest steakhouses from SF to NYC. But that all changed in March. Even so, when I got the call asking if I would like this Stag’s Leap Cuvée from Carl Roy, I thought it was a mistake. From the most storied AVA of Napa and somehow just $35/btl? Hurry because this one won’t last!
Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Get in quick before the scores! One of the most beloved brands in American wine has graciously allocated us another ten cases of their explosive 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is absolutely killer. In the textbook 2018 vintage in Napa, where sunny days were a staple from April to October, the Wagner Family crafted a big, powerful Cab with a dark ruby color, with ripe red fruits and silky smooth tannins.
