Roger Perrin Chateauneuf du Pape Les Galets de la Berthaude 2019

Domaine Roger Perrin is a modest, family winery with just 40 hectares under vine, cut into 70 different plots. They are not to be confused with the enormous Perrin Brothers’ Beaucastel operation. Though they are friends and neighbors (Xavier’s Uncle Luc even had an apprenticeship at Château de Beaucastel), the two families are not related.

The vines from which the 2019 “Les Galets de la Berthaude” draws its grapes are quite old – the average being 60 years old – with many well over one hundred years old. This year’s 2019 “Les Galets de la Berthaude” is made in the style the Nicholas Wines buyers love best; quite simply 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 100% delicious.
