This is an incredible deal packaging together some of my best of my recent bourbon selections that I picked out in Kentucky when I went back in January. This is the first ever of its kind! All four of these were picked out by me, after tasting dozens and dozens of samples. You’re not going to find single barrel quality like this anywhere, I can promise you.
Each Single Barrel 4-pack includes:
1 btl. Bulleit Nicholas Single Barrel Reserve #2 Bourbon Whiskey
After a few years waiting for my own barrel, I finally got the chance to pick out two in January. This is my second. This one is from Mashbill E. It has super inviting notes of fresh baked, spiced bread & caramel. This is a 7 year old single-barrel beauty & was bottled at 104 Proof. Add in some tasty oaky vanilla overtones and creme brulee, brown butter and you’re cooking with dynamite.
1 btl. Rebel Cask Strength Bourbon Nicholas Single Barrel Reserve #1 (Barrel #7653830)
There are a few bourbons that come from Kentucky that use wheat in their mashbills. Perhaps you’ve heard of a few of them: Weller, Old Fitzgerald, oh & Pappy Van Winkle. I love a wheated bourbon because they deliver more depth of flavor & an almost creamy mouth feel. My single barrel from Rebel is much different from the single barrel Cask Strength that Rebel usually puts into the market. This is a 120 Proof beauty that was born in March of 2017. I love the way this one came together. The molasses, gingerbread, vanilla, oak and spice combination here is so smooth and effortless. This is a beauty.
1 btl. Redemption Nicholas Single Barrel Select High Rye Bourbon (105 Proof)
I’ve been waiting for this one to come in for a while and I think folks are going to love it. Nobody has had a ‘High Rye’ Bourbon like this. It’s a 105 Proof beauty with a mashbill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% barley – a really interesting mix. The nose gives off scents of vanilla wafers, rye spice, with a hint of well integrated oak, cherries and even some black pepper notes. The best part here is the finish – it’s seamless with lingering notes of dried cherry, cedar and even a hint of mint. You don’t get any heat at all – just a lot of intricate flavors that keep you coming back.
1 btl. Maker’s Mark Private Selection Nicholas Barrel Reserve #3
Makers asked me if I wanted to blend a 2nd barrel. I said “no chance, that was as good as I could do, make the 2nd the exact same as the first.” This is unique to Maker’s because if we blend the exact same way we can duplicate the barrel the same way a distillery gets a house style for their regular blend. As many of you experienced, that 2nd barrel tasted just like the 1st. We have been sold out of Makers NBR for 6 months. As you might guess, my 3rd barrel tastes just like barrels 1 & 2.
Stave Profile:
Baked American Pure: 3
Seared French Cuvee: 2
Maker’s Mark 46: 2
Roasted French Mocha: 3
Toasted French Spice: 0

This is an extraordinary chance to lock into two of the best vintages of Jordan Cabernet ever made. This is one of California’s iconic producers of Cabernet, and both the 2009 and 2010 vintages were like a dream come true for superstar winemaker Rob Davis. Most of these bottles are long gone, but luckily I manage to snag enough to offer up a 2009, 2010 side-by-side Library vertical. These will fly out the door!
This is my third private barrel of Bourbon that I sourced from Bulleit and my first since 2022. Believe you me, they give you a ton (and I mean a ton) of samples to go through to make up for lost time. The winning combo is something people are going to love. Allow me to introduce you to Barrel #5-B3-82. It’s smooth and layered, with a full creamy mouthfeel and manages to sneak in at 104 Proof. On the nose, I get fresh cut oak, vanilla and brown butter. On the palate, freshly baked banana bread, burnt orange and graham cracker.
92 Points, Wine Enthusiast
This is a huge favorite of folks in the Red Bank area. It’s a bold, unapologetic Chardonnay with juicy notes of peach, lemon sorbet, baking spice and vanilla with a rich, creamy middle and plenty of natural acidity to balance it out. The lemon vanilla finish is perhaps the wine’s calling card or the sheer drinkability of it all. Either way, it’s a Chard that people adore. It’s no wonder Wine Enthusiast called this, “a big win for fans of this bold style”.
Every month, Nicholas Wines will ship two wines hand-selected by Nicholas Harary. Discover a new region, variety, or style! This is the perfect gift for both introductory and expert wine lovers!
