This is a special treat that will not break the bank this holiday season. The legendary champagne house Billecart-Salmon in Mareuil-sur-Ay controls all aspects of this exciting new venture. The grapes come from the same vineyards of the famed Champagnes, though these are from slightly younger vines. The winemaking process including disgorgement and dosage takes place in the Billecart-Salmon cellars, guaranteeing unparalleled quality and character.
Charles Le Bel “1818” Brut NV is a delicious, classic champagne with seductive aromas of fresh brioche, almonds and baked apples. It offers wine lovers access to the legendary brand for a fraction of the normal cost and comes around for the perfect time to host and pop a few open.

At J Vineyards, Nicole is nothing short of a magician, making 30 different skus or more each vintage between her Pinots, Chardonnays, and Sparkling wines. For the vineyard’s flagship Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, up to 100 individual small lots are combined to make this great wine. Somehow, the blend is effortless–a quintessential RRV Pinot that has those soaring aromatics, bright red fruits, clove, and nutmeg spice with perfect balance.

“The 2019 Brut from Alta Langa, is remarkably pretty, with a delicate blend of peaches and young mango complicated by hints of incense and spice. This displays round, soothing textures and juicy acidity with a core of tart orchard fruits that add a lovely tension toward the close. It finishes with medium length, leaving a twang of sour citrus and a steely minerality that adds a tactile touch. The 2019 is beautifully crafted and displays incredible balance. Well done. This is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay”

Balade is the French word for wandering. It’s perfect since of all the Belle Glos single-vineyard selections this one was the hardest to find. It comes from the western part of Santa Rita Hills and is usually reserved entirely for restaurants. It’s an absolute beauty – roaring out of the gates with primary red and black berry fruits along with underlying freshness, and some toasted oak notes that sneak in towards the end.

This is a really exciting new release in the collection of single-vineyards from the Wagner Family, and arguably the most interesting one of the bunch. This is the only Pinot Noir in the Caymus collection that has the advantage of being from a natural Pinot Noir haven in the Russian River Valley. Dairyman Vineyard’s proximity to the pacific ocean, with its morning fog and afternoon coastal breezes allows for an even and elongated growing season, with super concentrated and expressive grape clusters that help make this Dijon clone Pinot Noir one that you need.
