95-97 Points, Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate
Sir Peter’s Chardonnay Ma Belle-Fille is on a very short list of the best white wines in America. Naturally, it’s also one of the hardest to get. I managed to get exactly one six-pack of this home-run Chardonnay and sometimes I can’t even get that.
The single vineyard, Ma Belle-Fille comes from a steep parcel on the Peter Michael estate precariously positioned above the fog line approximately 1700 feet above sea level. The mountain slope exceeds 40% grade in some spots. It’s the ultimate cool climate Chard. The vines work hard here and yield very little wine but what is coaxed from these tiny grapes is some of most compelling Chardonnays in the world year in and year out.

95-97 pts – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2020 Chardonnay Ma Belle Fille comes across as quite tight and mineral, with hints of pencil shavings and toasted almond accenting pineapple and lime. Medium to full-bodied, with ample richness and generosity, it finishes long and lean, with a mouthwatering edge to the citrus flavors
Chardonnay Ma Belle-Fille 2017 will be delicious this Saturday night and every other for the next 10-15 years.

Grilled Fish and seasonal root vegetables are the perfect match.
The Zenato family has built up quite the reputation for delivering exceptional value with their red and whites in Veneto. Their Pinot Grigio is a particularly great value, punching way above its weight class. Delicately scented and soft on the palate, it offers classic citrus and floral notes in a balanced elegant style. It’s smooth and refreshing with a long, pleasant finish. Great with food.
The 2016 vintage in Napa was nearly perfect for winemaker Kian Tavakoli (Opus One, Clos du Val). With ideal weather all throughout harvest, he crafted the Faustini Money Road Chardonnay off the famous vineyard located in the coveted Oakville AVA. The picturesque vineyard off Oakville Crossroad is platinum rated, known for its ideal combination of soil & climate and the big A list names that routinely source fruit. Kian’s Money Road Chard is still youthful despite having a few years of age, probably as a result of its 18 months of slumber in 1/4 new Oak.
The newly released Riesling Feinherb 2021 is a lively, juicy wine with an elegant bouquet of minerals, wet stone and ripe fruit. On the palate, the wine’s slight off-dry component is beautifully balanced by the steely acidity typical of the Mosel. Because this is freshly released, the fruit is vibrant and succulent and it comes in somewhere between off-dry and semi-sweet. It’s a great example of Riesling, especially at the price.
It’s an electric white Burgundy, with a limestone-laced aromatic profile of green apple, pear and hazelnut. Refined and high-toned, the pure, delicious fruit that is a hallmark of this terrific vintage, finishes long and fresh, with a mile-long mineral streak.
