This is short and sweet. One of our iconic California winery friends reached out last night and are granting us unprecedented access to their library of back vintages for a very limited time. You know I had to cherry pick two of the best vintages in Napa’s recent history!
I had the pleasure of tasting a number of back vintages of Jordan once again this year, and the ’09 and ’10 are total show stoppers. As a vintage by vintage side by side/vertical, you cannot go any better. I’d say over the next 5-10 years, this will be prime drinking for both of these epic bottlings.
Jordan is America’s #1 Cabernet brand AND most popular winery according to Wine & Spirits Magazine’s yearly restaurant edition. The wines are stars in the cellar – ageworthy bottlings that absolutely delight collectors. Don’t miss this are library side-by-side while it is in-house!

The 2021 Napa Valley East side Cuvee is an instant classic. From the first whiff to the moment it hits the lips, its clear that this is a fabulously concentrated, serious wine: black in color, and featuring aromas of cassis, cedar and chocolate-tinged purple fruit. The mouthfeel is plush and voluptuous with a firm, solid finish that speaks to its potential for considerable aging.
Valery Renaudat’s 2022 P’tit Renaudat Pinot soars from the glass, with a mixture of black cherry and blueberry fruit on the nose, gradually unfurling to reveal some aromas of rose petal. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy fruit and a long, fresh finish that will keep you coming back for more.
Anne Sery describes her Trousse Chemise Cabernets as an ode to the Left Bank and her winemaking roots. It’s a beautiful and fresh Cabernet with aromas that leap from the glass with of black raspberry, violets, and creme de liquor notes. The mouth gives generous amounts of juicy black fruits at the core with hints of baking spice and a smooth, savory finish. This is a terrific partner for just about anything from hard cheese, to poultry, summer salads, you name it!
#3 Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2021
96 Points, Parker’s Wine Advocate – 95 Points, Wine Spectator
We are one of the very few folks who have Wine Spectator’s #3 Wine of the Year. This is definitely not one to miss. The 2016 vintage showcases this prized vineyard in all its glory; notes of wild black fruit, thyme, mint, eucalyptus, and bay are lifted and enjoyed with the polished tannin and mouthwatering freshness of this wine. Regarded as one of the best vintages in the last few decades, the 2016 Martha’s Vineyard has been aged to perfection for immediate enjoyment at release and will continue to reward for the next 20+ years.
