Faust Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2019

Categories , ,

This matches the highest score that this scorching hot wine has ever received!

We’ve been leaning hard on the winemaking team of Michel Rolland, Charles Thomas, Andy Erickson and David Jelenik. A little while ago, we offered Leviathan. Then, we had a rare allocation of Quintessa. Both at exceptional prices. But those offers pale in comparison to today’s final act, a two-for-one offer of “Baby Quintessa”, from project Faust, priced to be scooped up by the case. Don’t miss it.

Similar to the team at Quintessa (Michel Rolland/Andy Erickson) minus Rebekah Wineburg but with Charles Thomas (Opus One) and David Jelinek (Copain/Prisoner/Groth). The vineyard source out of this world – a little slice of heaven on the foothills of Atlas Peak in Coombsville. The wine is aged and bottled at Quintessa’s state-of-the-art winemaking facility.

Both have all the vineyard pedigree and winemaking prowess of Quintessa. They receive the big scores (Faust- 95pts, The Pact 96pts) and all the press of their big name brother, but at prices that Napa almost never sees anymore for wines of this caliber. And the best part, I’m able to offer these at the best prices anywhere – for as long as they last.

Original price was: $60.00.Current price is: $56.50.

Blackberry, blackcurrant, graphite and tar aromas. Crushed stone, too. Full-bodied, yet firm, fresh and bright with a creamy, crunchy finish. One of the best values in Napa appellation designated reds. Drink or hold

From the outstanding winemaking team of Michel Rolland, Charles Thomas, Andy Erickson and David Jelenik comes the Faust Napa Valley Cabernet. Always one of the best QPR Cabernets Napa has to offer, the 2019 received this wines’ highest score to date. That could have been one of two things: 1. 2019 was an exceptional vintage in Napa that produced beautiful fresh and lively fruit that is drinking wonderfully in its youth. 2. The 2019 Faust bottling is a racy mix of Coombsville fruit from Atlas Peak that absolutely roars out of the bottle. Either way, this is truly one of Napa’s great bargains and a must have at this price.
