Château Revelette is an incredible property set at a crazy elevation north of Mount Saint Victoire in the heart of Provence. It’s been organically farmed for decades, producing rosé with a high degree of elegance and finesse. North of Mount Saint Victoire, lays the estate of Peter Fischer, the beautiful Château Revelette. This 25 hectare estate is unique in Provence; its high elevation and the protection of the mountain allows much slower ripening of its grapes, resulting in wine that is both fine and aromatically driven, traits rarely found in the appellation.
Peter Fischer tends his vines organically and practices a non-interventive style of winemaking that allows the wines to truly represent their unique terroir and to accurately express the character of the given vintage. The Rosé is a bright and elegant wine, delivering high-toned flavors of strawberry and melon with plenty of extraction and length. It’s a traditional Provencal blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault.

I love everything about this wine! Bone dry and super fresh, the south of France in a glass.

Rosé is the classic wine of spring and summer, complementing all types of cuisine; especially anything on the grill.

Domaine Jaume Vinsobres Altitude 420 is an old-vine Grenache-Syrah blend from vineyards planted in Les Collines at some of the highest points in the Rhône. The Jaumes have farmed these dizzying elevations at their estate in Vinsobres for 100+ years. The 2020 is one of his best yet, pristine and fresh, a bowl full of berried-up fruit yet with the tension and length that belies its humble price. Incredible bang for the buck, tailor-made for anyone’s house red, and a slam dunk for any kind of meat on the bone.
90 Points, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Xavier Vignon’s brand spanking new CDR 100% is a thing of beauty. It’s already got a blessing from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate who described this wine as, “Full-bodied, concentrated and supple”. This is a gorgeous and intricate blend that features all of the Southern Rhone appellations. This year, the blend was 40% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah, 7% Cinsault, 7% Marselan, 6% Terret Noir. Nobody can do it like the mad scientist, Xavier Vignon.
94 Points, James Suckling – 92 Points, Wine Spectator
“Scented nose with dark cherries, blueberries, dried thyme, plums, bark, roasted meat and baking spices following through to a medium to full body with finely grained tannins. Elegant and textural with a velvety core of juicy and crunchy berries on the mid-palate mingling with herbs and spices in harmony. Well-composed with a precise long finish.” -James Suckling
At 350 feet above sea level, growing seasons are often extended with warm days and cool, breezy nights. The diurnal changes of temperature help create healthy vines and grapes that are packed full of complexity, concentration and energy. Ain’t a whole of Provence wineries that can compare. We’ve offered Val de Caire’s spectacular Provence Rouge before, but their bread and butter wine, the Coteaux d’Aix en-Provence Rose has finally been imported into the U.S. for the first time. People are gonna go nuts for this wine.
