After a long wait, this lights out Rosé finally hit my cellar, from world-class producer, Richard Jaume. His old vines of Grenache and Syrah are precariously rooted in limestone at some of the highest elevations in the Rhône, perfect for making wildly aromatic, bone-dry Rosé that is simply lights out perfect with, appetizers, salads and any kind of pizza.

Dollar for dollar, Xavier’s Côtes du Rhône is one of the best buys in the store and Xavier’s 2017 vintage in particular is a superb bottle of wine. It’s a got a killer nose, loaded with aromas of anise, black berries and white pepper. It’s deeply concentrated with a vibrant long finish, as good at any table as it is just by itself.
