This is one of those famous Super Tuscans that 100% lives up to the hype almost every vintage but especially in a vintage as special as 2007. This is one of those must-haves for collectors.
It received an ocean of big press, a 94-point Editors’ Choice from Wine Enthusiast, and a 95-point review from Antonio Galloni who wrote “simply put, the 2007 is a magnificent Tignanello.” It also has a 95 from Parker’s Wine Advocate who calls the wine “ripe with promise for the future” in her 2015 review of the wine, where she gave it 95 points. Decanter came in at 96 and called it “rich, layered and full of pleasure” and Wine Spectator, the stingiest publication in the world came in at a whopping 97. still, given where this wine is now in its journey and being from the much-heralded 2007 vintage, this is worth every penny.

97 Points, Wine Spectator
Big, rich and dense, this is still a bit closed despite being integrated. The velvety texture embraces cherry, plum, tobacco, iron and spice aromas and flavors. Long, with a terrific aftertaste.
96 Points, Decanter
A highly aromatic wine with cinnamon-spiced redcurrant and raspberry fruits. This is rich, layered and full of pleasure as it slides towards 13 years old. There is a striking softness to the tannins that is pure seduction, coupled with dried leaf edging, as well as grilled and smoky rosemary with saffron touches. It has a saline, salty caramel finish that gives focus and freshness at the close of play.
At J Vineyards, Nicole is nothing short of a magician, making 30 different skus or more each vintage between her Pinots, Chardonnays, and Sparkling wines. For the vineyard’s flagship Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, up to 100 individual small lots are combined to make this great wine. Somehow, the blend is effortless–a quintessential RRV Pinot that has those soaring aromatics, bright red fruits, clove, and nutmeg spice with perfect balance.
94 Points, Tasting Panel
This is a really exciting new release in the collection of single-vineyards from the Wagner Family, and arguably the most interesting one of the bunch. This is the only Pinot Noir in the Caymus collection that has the advantage of being from a natural Pinot Noir haven in the Russian River Valley. Dairyman Vineyard’s proximity to the pacific ocean, with its morning fog and afternoon coastal breezes allows for an even and elongated growing season, with super concentrated and expressive grape clusters that help make this Dijon clone Pinot Noir one that you need.
Anne Sery describes her Trousse Chemise Cabernets as an ode to the Left Bank and her winemaking roots. It’s a beautiful and fresh Cabernet with aromas that leap from the glass with of black raspberry, violets, and creme de liquor notes. The mouth gives generous amounts of juicy black fruits at the core with hints of baking spice and a smooth, savory finish. This is a terrific partner for just about anything from hard cheese, to poultry, summer salads, you name it!
With seemingly infinite access to some of the absolute very best vineyards in the most choice AVAs in the valley, the Wagner’s set out to make Quilt– a Cabernet blend from a patchwork of the top sites in Napa (Oakville, St Helena, Atlas Peak, Coombsville, Calistoga, and Howell Mountain.) The brand new 2021 edition is a beauty – deeply concentrated, rich and a truly show stopping Cabernet. It’s a dark, hedonistic blend that combines elegance with power and pairs the two together effortlessly.
