Named after her parents, Bob and Delores Walt, Kathryn set out to make something special at WALT Wines that stood apart from her Hall Wines in Napa. She tended the vineyards for over a decade when the brand first started, meticulously making sure every detail was taken care of. Now, things are a little different. With over a dozen vineyards in their impressive fleet, WALT showcases some of the finest American wine terroir from up and down the West Coast each vintage.
A mixture of predominantly Gap’s Crown and Bob’s Ranch fruit every year, the pure, red-fruited Sonoma Pinot Noir WALT makes with their La Brisa label is something truly special.
In the 2016 vintage, the team made a beautiful Pinot Noir from their Sonoma vineyards. Ruby to the rim, the La Brisa Pinot Noir opens with notes of crushed cherries, a hint of earth, rose petals, and red fruits and shows wild character. The mouth offers strong flavors of raspberry and cola, with a dash of tobacco on the finish. This is the best price in the

91 Points, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2016 Pinot Noir La Brisa gives up lovely notions of violets, chocolate box and rose hip tea over a core of pomegranate, black cherries and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals loads of perfumed black and red berry flavors, supported by plush tannnins and lovely freshness, finishing earthy.

90-92 Pts, Parker’s Wine Advocate – 91 Pts (Editors’ Choice), Wine Enthusiast – 91 Pts, Decanter
The wines get consistent high praise but 2018 is truly something special. 90-92 from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. 91 points and an Editor’s Choice designation from Wine Enthusiast. 91 more from Decanter who provides “There is so much to enjoy in the smaller appellations this year. Drinking Window 2022 – 2031” and another 90 point score from James Suckling. This is a home run value – especially for the price.
Winemaker Kian Tavakoli (Opus One, Clos du Val) continues to excel even while others struggle. In 2017, he still managed to deliver a beautiful and opulent Napa Valley Cabernet that’s both dark and juicy. The wine hails from both Coombsville and Rutherford, giving it distinct characteristics and a lot of drive. Deep ruby to the rim with excellent concentration, notes of Bing cherries, raspberry pie and hints of vanilla. On the palate, big wonderfully jammy fruit with young but impressive tannins and great length. The finish leaves notes of black cherry, and baked blueberry pie. Fantastic Napa value.

“The 2018 Palmer is a legend in the making…This audacious Palmer was still revving its engines 48 hours after opening. There will never be another Palmer like this, sui generis. It was a massive risk. But by throwing caution to the wind, something extraordinary was born.” -100 points, Vinous
It’s always nice to be in good standing with one of the most beloved wine brands in America! These won’t last long! This is an opulent, powerful dark-fruited Cabernet with tightly woven tannins, that is just raring and ready to go. Textbook, full-bodied, revved up and ready to go, this new Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet is the definition of a crowd pleaser.
